"The journey in science and medicine may be long and hard, but the rewards are great."
Lauryn Falcone graduated Summa Cum Laude and as co-valedictorian from Rollins College before pursuing an MD/PhD degree at West Virginia University School of Medicine. She recently completed her PhD in cellular and integrative physiology at the National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) and is currently finishing the clinical years of medical school. Lauryn completed her first two years of medical school as an honors student, scoring a 254 on the USMLE Step 1 examination and achieving above the 90th percentile on eight NBME shelf exams. She has many years of experience tutoring for the USMLE and medical school coursework and therefore understands many of the struggles students face. She also appreciates that medical school is both physically and emotionally demanding and strives to help her students to live happier, healthier lives. By balancing her time as both a successful student and a competitive athlete, Lauryn excels in time management and enjoys helping her students appropriately manage work-life balance.
