“ ‘ “You miss 100% of the shots questions you don’t take answer” – Wayne Gretzky’ – Michael Scott” – Neil Mehta
Neil is a methodical, disciplined and compassionate tutor. During his pre-clinical years, he tutored students on the basic sciences, covering everything from the obscurities of neural crest cells and the A-a gradient to the seeming indecipherable details of ovarian tumors and spinal cord lesions. He even independently wrote multiple 50-question exams with USMLE-style questions to prepare fellow students for their upcoming exams! During his Step 1 journey, Neil realized he could “crack” the Step 1 code; there are a limited number of topics and an even more limited number of ways the board writers can ask the same question. Once he found these “keys” to the exam, it made studying that much more focused, simplified and strategic. His passion and skill in exam preparation lead him to write questions with USMLE-Rx; his experience with Rx revealed that board question authors are formulaic and think they can “trick you” but, together with Neil, you can crack their code. Neil will help you demystify Step 1 by breaking down not just the questions themselves but also the confusing choices, and come one step closer to your career as a physician.
