Tom is a dedicated, compassionate and encouraging tutor who has experience helping students succeed throughout medical school. He has always been a passionate teacher, starting as early as high school working as a climbing instructor with young kids. He has spent time as a teaching assistant, and has volunteered many hours as a student mentor and tutor for pre-medical students. Tom also continually acts as a tutoring resource for his colleagues throughout medical school, and was selected to lead his peers as a chief student in core clinical rotations. By obtaining a masters in biomedical sciences, Tom has an unshakeable foundation in the preclinical sciences, including biochemistry, physiology, microbiology, pharmacology, and especially neuroscience. Tom learned from Step 1 that the key to success was to have a few strong resources in his corner, and to focus on weaknesses, living by the mantra, “you’re only as strong as your weakest link." Through hard work and dedication, Tom lives to see his students perform at their true potential. Using an adaptive study plan with a focus on test taking strategy, personal strengths, and shoring up weaknesses, Tom will push any student to excel.
