Alex is a supportive and practical tutor who is excited to set other students up for success in mastering the USMLE. She thinks the keys to victory are an organized but flexible study schedule, proper resource utilization, and proactive identification of weaknesses. Alex strongly believes that this dedicated study time can be both productive and pleasant. She will work hard to create a positive, welcoming environment that bolsters your morale and she will create for you a detailed schedule that still allows you to continue doing the things that make you happiest each day. Alex has a history of tutoring that extends back to high school and has recently led two cohorts of Step 1 bound students to academic success. She enjoys the warm and fuzzy feeling of helping someone learn and she hopes to continue prioritizing teaching throughout her residency and into her career as a physician. Alex promises to provide you with direct accountability and honest feedback so that you can achieve your goals on the timeline you desire. Her greatest tutoring skill is thinking of unique memory hooks to help you tackle the more esoteric material as well as providing real-life applications to help you remember the more high-yield material you will need for the USMLE and beyond. Alex hopes to be your insightful tutor, encouraging friend, and devoted mentor throughout this process and can’t wait to help you achieve success!
